DEA, as part of a joint venture team, is providing transit design services to support the Project Development phase of TriMet’s 12-mile Light Rail extension from downtown Portland to Tualatin. DEA is leading the overall design on the Inner Portland segment of the project, as well as providing subject matter expertise for track and civil design, structural engineering, and stormwater management.

The Southwest Corridor Light Rail Project will bring high-capacity transit to one of the most congested travel corridors in the Portland Metropolitan Region, with connections to bus, MAX lines, and WES Commuter Rail. The project also includes new sidewalk and protected bike lanes on Barbur Boulevard, and connections to Oregon Health and Science University and Portland Community College’s Sylvania Campus.
