SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park Entertainment District

In September of 2020, SoFi Stadium officially opened as the centerpiece of Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre global sports and entertainment destination.

SoFi Stadium, home for both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, realizes a grand vision that redefines what a venue can be, to include a wide range of entertainment events, including Super Bowl LVI and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic Games. One of the world’s most innovative structures of its type, SoFi is the first indoor-outdoor stadium and the NFL’s largest, built in the entertainment capital of the world.

To turn the vision for this project into reality, an incredible team of designers and builders came together, establishing numerous industry firsts, working at a giant scale and at an incredible pace.

DEA provided site civil engineering design, traffic engineering design, planning and permitting services, surveying, and entitlement of Hollywood Park as a mixed-use master plan featuring over 3,000 residential units, several parks, commercial center, office center, casino, and a large man-made lake. The project expanded to include a 60-acre property for the new NFL stadium, a 6,000 seat performance venue, and lifestyle entertainment and shopping district. The project boasts 100,000 stadium seats, over 3 million square feet of usable space, 17 surface parking lots, a 7-acre lake, and 25 acres of neighborhood parks and recreational amenities. DEA also performed a complete redesign of the site grading and much of the on-site infrastructure in addition to the final engineering design.
