DEA provided 3D laser scanning services for this 250 acre landfill and the on-site operations building. The 3D laser scan output of the landfill area was used to complete a topographic survey of the site and show surface data for settlement monitoring of the ground and the geo-membrane cover. The operations building scan was used to create an accurate as-built of all on-site environmental monitoring and testing equipment. This included the modeling of all piping less than 2” and all mechanical equipment. The client used the 3D as-built models to develop schematic and flow drawings for an operations manual and to design future upgrades to the building’s monitoring systems.
