Newberg-Dundee Bypass Phase 1

Newberg to Dundee, OR

In collaboration with several local engineering firms, DEA worked with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to provide bridge and structural design as well as construction services for this 4-mile-long highway modernization project in Yamhill County. This project is the first phase of a new alignment for OR18 intended to relieve congestion through Newberg and Dundee.

DEA completed the design of two new bridges and seven sign support structures, provided bridge design checking, independent calculation checks, CADD assistance, and plan review of the ODOT design for three additional bridges. The project included three new monotube cantilever sign supports and four new truss sign bridges. DEA also provided construction services on several phases of the project, including contract administration, construction engineering, and inspection.
