Lake Shannon Floating Surface Collector

Skagit County, WA

DEA provided topographic and quantity surveys during shoreline rock excavation and overburden removal for the construction of a Floating Surface Collector on Lake Shannon to support the migrating salmon population in the Baker River. The FSC attracts and holds juvenile salmon for downstream transport around hydroelectric dams on the river. Working for Skanska, DEA also provided topographic surveys, construction staking, and as built surveys for the 170-foot-long, pipe / pile-supported pier, the access road, utilities, and six on-shore anchorage sites.
