As part of the City of Kirkland’s Innovative Housing Demonstration Project, the Danielson Grove community incorporates green building techniques into a sustainable pocket neighborhood. DEA’s project team designed low-impact stormwater management techniques, using gardens and courtyards to create small community spaces and flanking walkways with perennial beds to add value home buyers have come to expect. For their work on this project, DEA’s landscape architecture design team won the WASLA Merit Award for Residential Design.
