I-25/Arapahoe Road Interchange Environmental Assessment, Final Design, and CMGC
Client: Colorado Department of Transportation
DEA performed delivery of the design and construction documents for the $68M dollar interchange reconstruction project. The goal is to deliver a design in accordance with the preferred alternative documented in the NEPA Decision Document. The project was delivered under a CMGC contracting method which included extensive collaboration between the Owner, Engineer and Contractor during the design process to promote implementation of value added components delivered through innovative construction means and methods ultimately resulting in a quality project. DEA also completed the Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study for the Arapahoe Road Corridor, which was the first PEL completed in Colorado. DEA then completed the Environmental Assessment followed by final design for this interchange.
