DEA’s Nicole Parks and Ashley Tarter, Senior Environmental Scientists and Project Managers, attended an Advanced Wetland Delineation course for Transportation Projects in Boise, Idaho. The course, taught by the esteemed Phil Scoles and offered by the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council, amplified their ability to identify hydric indicators and delineate wetlands in challenging soil conditions. Identifying, protecting, and enhancing wetlands is critical for maintaining water quality in our lakes, rivers, and taps. Take a moment to express gratitude to our wetlands for all their hard work to keep our water clean. Happy Water Quality Month!
