Rock Garden Substation wins ACEC Oregon’s 2022 Grand Award! This project is one of Oregon’s first solar renewable generation sites directly connected to Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) grid. We are proud to help Oregon meet its renewable energy goals and move toward a more sustainable future.
DEA was the electrical design lead for this 20-megawatt (MW) substation that connects two 10 MW solar arrays to the BPA transmission grid via a seven-mile transmission line. DEA also coordinated with local utility and landowners for routing and provided real-time support to BPA during commissioning and energization.
