Today, DEA celebrates Juneteenth and commemorates the ending of slavery in the U.S. We reflect on the accomplishments of African Americans while recognizing the injustice present in our society. Our core purpose is “to improve the quality of life,” and we are committed to having a culture where equity is fundamental. We cannot improve the quality of life in our communities without focusing on improving the quality of life experienced by the African American community.
