Fox News Sacramento interviewed DEA Senior Vice President John Hogan, P.E., about ASCE’s Infrastructure Report Card for California. ASCE gave the state’s infrastructure a grade of C-. During the interview, John explained that the C- grade comes from a prolonged lack of funding.
As John said, “Things are not going to get better by themselves. The state relies on the federal government for a good portion of our infrastructure funding. We don’t rely solely on them … but the federal government really needs to set the standard by coming in and providing the lion’s share of funding for big infrastructure projects.”
John is a past President of the ASCE Los Angeles Section and an ASCE Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient.
