David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) announces leadership transition and expansion within its Surveying and Geomatics Center of Excellence (COE).
DEA is pleased to announce that Duffy Haggarty has been promoted to the position of Business Leader for the Surveying and Geomatics COE. Duffy previously served as the Geomatics Strategic Business Development Leader and Mountain West Region Market Leader, and he has been a key contributor to the COE’s success during his ten years with DEA. Duffy succeeds Jeff Whitson, who has chosen to retire after 45 years of dedicated service to the industry.
Furthermore, Pat Gaylord, currently the Oregon Region Market Leader for the Surveying and Geomatics COE, will assume an expanded role. Reporting to Duffy, Pat will take on the newly created position of Operations Leader for the COE. In this role, Pat will oversee GEO delivery staff and continue to serve as the Oregon Market Leader. Pat’s leadership, teaching abilities, and technical expertise will be vital in supporting staff growth and development, as well as ensuring professional excellence.
Al Barkouli, Chairman and CEO of DEA, stated, “Jeff Whitson’s strong leadership has significantly strengthened the performance of our Surveying and Geomatics Center of Excellence over the past few years. I am really pleased that Duffy Haggarty will be taking over for Jeff as the Business leader for Surveying and Geomatics at DEA. Duffy will be working with Pat Gaylord and the two of them bring complementary skills and experience that will prove invaluable as we focus more on external sales and continue to expand our services to meet the increasing market demands.”
DEA thanks Jeff Whitson for his outstanding contributions and leadership throughout his career and welcomes Duffy Haggarty and Pat Gaylord to their new roles, confident that they will continue to drive the success of the Surveying and Geomatics COE.
