Oneonta Tunnel Rehabilitation project wins ACEC Oregon’s 2022 Grand Award! The 2017 Eagle Creek Fire substantially damaged the Oneonta Tunnel, creating unsafe conditions and forcing a closure. DEA and project partner GRI provided design services to rehabilitate the existing tunnel and mitigate hazardous rockfall from the fire-damaged bluff. The team’s services ultimately contributed to reopening this recreational facility for users to experience the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
