Welcome to the home page for the Saltzman Road Improvement
Project.
The purpose of this project is to improve NW Saltzman Road between NW Cornell Road and NW Thompson Road. This project is the first in a group of projects to be built under the general fund resources known as MSTIP 3B. In 1997, when voters approved Measure 50, the MSTIP levy became part of Washington County's property tax rate and hence, part of the County's general fund.
The project includes the construction of a single 3-lane roadway (one lane in each direction with a center turn lane), including improvements such as storm sewers, bike lanes, curbs, sidewalks, illumination and landscaping.
The project improvements will be phased. The southern portion of NW Saltzman Road between NW Cornell Road and NW Bauer Woods Drive (south) will proceed to final design and construction prior to the completion of the design between NW Bauer Woods Drive (south) and NW Thompson Road.
This web site will keep you informed of project activities, upcoming public meetings, points of contact, and issues identified by you and others who are interested or involved in this project.
