Threemile Canyon Farms
DEA facilitated an agreement that ended six years of litigation over water withdrawals from the Columbia River, water rights, and species conservation.
Terms of the historic settlement allowed Threemile Canyon Farms, located near Boardman in eastern Oregon, to expand operations in exchange for setting aside 23,000 acres of rare high-plateau land for conservation purposes.
On behalf of its client, DEA led Endangered Species Act consultation proceedings for Columbia River salmon, prepared a multiple species Candidate Conservation Agreement for terrestrial species, and initiated the fish screen compliance.
