Snohomish Cascade Planned Community
This 1,080-acre residential community contains more than 2,000 single- and multi-family homes. Since 1977, DEA has represented the property’s land owners and developers by providing master planning, engineering design, permit processing, environmental services, and construction management for this project.
The original master plan resulted in a contract rezone with the county, which required that development be staged in “sector” phases, then broken down into divisions for platting. Each sector must be entitled for density and open space allocation through more detailed master planning, environmental studies, and public hearings.
The development process now involves significant new emphases on the protection of sensitive areas, drainage, traffic, and recreation facilities in conformance with recent legislation.
