Spring Canyon Wind Farm (60 MW)

DEA provided design and construction surveying services for the development of the Spring Canyon Wind Farm project located along a plateau in Logan County near Peetz, Colo.

DEA performed ALTA/ACSM land title surveys on 28 parcels that covered 22 sections in 4 townships. DEA conducted design surveys for the project’s substation and provided the construction layout of the turbines, access roads, connection lines, and the substation.

Other services that DEA provided included preparation of documents for Conditional Use Permits and other Logan County road cut and road crossing permits, and preparation of maps and exhibits for public and county meetings.

After the construction was complete, DEA performed an as-built survey of the facility so the client could establish accurate pay amounts for the turbine string roads and collector lines.

This wind farm will provide electricity to Xcel Energy for the Denver Metro area.
