Final Alternative Alignments
Between the March & June PAC meetings, the Project Management Team refined Alternatives 1 & 2 to include several variations for the connection between 170th Ave & 173rd Ave. The following are the alternatives that the PAC used for their final consideration:
- Alternative 1 – 74’ right-of-way
- Alternative 1 – Alternate 173rd connection
- Alternative 1 – Minimum right-of-way with sight distance at Emerald Creek Ln (recommended)
- Alternative 1 – Minimum right-of-way
- Alternative 2 – 74' right-of-way
- Alternative 2 – Minimum right-of-way
- Alternative 2 – Alternate 173rd connection
The Evaluation Matrix was a tool the PAC used to compare several elements of the various alternatives. Although the alternatives are ranked based on their scores, the PAC was not bound by these results with respect to which alternative they chose. Evaluation criteria were based on the scoring of the alternatives’ goals and objectives that were developed earlier by the PAC members.
